NCOE- Instruments
- The NCOE (National Centre of Excellence) is a specialized facility established to provide advanced training, research, and innovation in various scientific and technical fields. It is well-equipped with modern instruments such as an autoclave for sterilization, cooling centrifuge and cooling shaker for biological and biochemical studies, HPLC for chemical analysis, UV spectrophotometer for molecular characterization, and a water analyzer for testing water quality. These state-of-the-art instruments help students and researchers gain practical exposure, conduct high-level experiments, and develop skills that bridge the gap between theoretical knowledge and real-world applications. .
Autoclave – Used for sterilizing laboratory equipment and culture media through high-pressure steam.
Cooling Centrifuge – Separates biological samples (like blood, cells, proteins) at controlled low temperatures to maintain sample integrity.
Cooling Shaker – Provides controlled shaking and cooling for mixing cell cultures, enzymes, and biochemical samples.
HPLC (High-Performance Liquid Chromatography) – An advanced analytical tool used to separate, identify, and quantify chemical compounds.
UV Spectrophotometer – Measures the absorbance of UV light by samples, commonly used for analyzing DNA, RNA, proteins, and chemicals.
Water Analyzer – Used for testing the physical and chemical quality of water (pH, turbidity, dissolved oxygen, etc.).
