- Selected for Darwin Scholarship ? ?Monitoring and Communicating Biodiversity?: This scholarship was offered for 28 participants from 21 countries of the world as a part of celebrations planned for 200th anniversary of Darwin's birth in 1809 and also the 150th anniversary of the publication of Origin of species in 1859 by the Field Studies Council (FSC). The programme was held at Shrewsbury, Shropshire, United Kingdom, from 08.08.2008 to 18.08.2008. The sponsors were Field Studies Council, Shrewsbury, UNITED KINGDOM.
- Awarded C.S.Arumuga Gounder Endowment as the Best NSS Volunteer of N.S.S. activities for the year 2002- 2003.
- Awarded Tamil Nadu state NSS Award in recognition of the outstanding service rendered to the community while in National Service Scheme for the year 2002 ? 2003.
