Yet another milestone in the annals/history of The Thiagarajar College of Arts & Science, Madurai. The omnipotent computers have made the world a global village. It has become mandatory that computer applications must be the phenomenal, predominant and the peripheral in the paraphernalia of the MNCs, the largest conglomerations and the academic sectors.
Realizing the fact and reading the need of the hour, our Department of Commerce (B.Com.) has ventured the celebration of the auspicious, inspiring inauguration of the new course – The B.Com Computer Applications in 2018!
The course has been a sophisticated sanctorium that inspired the first batch to roll up their sleeves and to boost up their spirits, breathing a sense of togetherness that made them successfully get through the course as the spear-headed B.Com (C.A) personalities, leaving behind them success.
A new section, B.Com (C.A) – “B”, was introduced in 2025 to meet growing interest.

Mission:
- To provide an academic ambience that ensures the efficient dissemination of knowledge through student-teacher synergy, resulting in character development and career readiness of commerce graduates.
- To develop a centre of excellence for commerce education, training and research.
- To groom students with IT skills and values for global competency and transform them into ideal citizens of our country.
