About Nature Club

Nature Club being one of the Part V programs in Thiagarajar College aims at sensitizing students towards environmental issues and sustainable lifestyle changes. The students are educated about the fundamental concepts of ecosystem, environmental pollution, endangered animals & wildlife conservation. Students are taken on Nature walks every year to Alagar Hills or Vettangudi Bird sanctuary. They are trained to identify local fauna such as birds & snakes. Nature club students take survey of birds in their locality & submit reports. Assignments, charts, crossword puzzles & quizzes are some of the activities done during the class hours. Nature Club aims to groom the students into eco-conscious, socially responsible and ‘Nature Loving’ individuals of the future.
