     The Centre organized a workshop on “Yoga for Feminine Health” on 28.01.2019. Dr. D. Pandiaraja, Principal, Thiagarajar College presided the over the event. Dr. I. Chitra, Coordinator, Women’s Studies Centre, welcomed the gathering and briefed the importance and the objective of the workshop. In the workshop, Shri Ramesh Rishi, MahaYogam, Kanchipuram explained how yoga can be used to bring harmony between the mind, body and soul and how women can make them physically fit and mentally alert during menstrual period. He demonstrated the yoga asanas and exercises to the students for better feminine health. Around 145 girls students benefited in the workshop. Mrs. N. Hemavathi, Assistant Professor of rur Science proposed the vote of thanks.
