     The Centre organized a workshop on “Yoga for Better Eye Sight””. Dr. D. Pandiaraja, Principal, Thiagarajar College, presided over the event. Dr. D. Anbugeetha, Director, Women’s Studies Centre, welcomed the gathering and briefed on the importance and the objective of the workshop. In his special address, Dr. R. Srinivasan, Dean - Students Welfare, emphasized on the health benefits of yoga for women.      

     In the workshop, Ramesh Rishi, Mahayogam, Kanchipuram explained how yoga can be used to bring harmony among the mind, body and soul and how women can make them physically fit and mentally alert. He demonstrated the five yoga asanas & five eye exercises to the students for better eye sight. Dr. I. Chitra, Coordinator, Women’s Studies Centre, delivered the vote of thanks. The aim of the event was to enhance eye health and to avoid usage of spectacles.
