PARTICIPANTS OF MEDICAL CAMP FOR WOMEN FACULTY |
As a novel initiative, Women’s Studies Centre organized a medical camp for all the teaching and Non teaching female faculty of our college on 01.08.2019. A team of female doctors from Apollo Hospitals visited the college campus to diagnose and ensure the health of the faculty. The tests included the basic tests for diabetes, hypertension along with ECG and Pap smear. It was arranged in the premises of the ladies hostel with the permission of the Principal and the warden of our college. 52 women faculty members participated in the camp and were very appreciative of the centre’s maiden attempt. Our teachers felt very happy and thankful to the management for the opportunity to keep track of their health. Three Gynaecologists offered their service to the faculty. As a follow up, some of our teachers went to Apollo hospital for a scan and further follow up treatment. The male teachers put forward a request to hold a similar camp for the men and our principal arranged for one in the following week.
