Health Camp for the Teaching and Non – Teaching Staff (Men and Women)

The Women’s Studies Centre, Thiagarajar College, Madurai – 625 009, in collaboration with Apollo Hospital, Madurai, organized a Health Camp for the teaching and non-teaching staff on 3 July 2026 at the Diamond Jubilee Hall. The programme was conducted in alignment with SDG 3 – Good Health and Well-Being to promote preventive healthcare and the importance of regular health check-ups.

The programme began with a prayer, followed by the Welcome Address by Dr. R. Aruna, Director, Women’s Studies Centre. Dr. D. Pandiaraja, Principal, delivered the Presidential Address, emphasizing the importance of preventive healthcare and healthy lifestyle practices.

The health camp was conducted by Dr. David, Coordinator Andrew, and the nursing team from Apollo Hospital, Madurai, who provided blood sugar testing, blood pressure screening, ECG examinations, and medical consultations. The teaching and non-teaching staff actively participated and benefited from the health screenings and expert guidance.

The programme successfully created awareness about preventive healthcare and reinforced the importance of regular health check-ups for overall well-being.
