The Women’s Studies Centre, Thiagarajar College, Madurai – 625 009, organized online competitions on the theme “Inspired by Nature: For Climate, For Our Future” on 05 June 2026 to commemorate World Environment Day, in alignment with SDG 13: Climate Action.

The competitions aimed to raise awareness among students about environmental conservation, climate change, and sustainable living while encouraging creativity and environmental responsibility.

Two events were conducted:

• Quiz Competition – 101 students participated. The competition was held in two rounds, testing participants' knowledge of environmental issues, biodiversity, climate change, and sustainability.

• Photography Competition – 14 students participated by capturing photographs that reflected the beauty of nature, environmental conservation, and climate action.

The competitions witnessed enthusiastic participation and successfully inspired students to promote environmental awareness and contribute towards a sustainable future.
