The Women’s Studies Centre, Thiagarajar College, Madurai – 625 009, organized a programme to commemorate National Science Day to highlight the contributions of Women in Science. The event was conducted under the guidance of Dr. R. Aruna, Director, Women’s Studies Centre.

As part of the programme, students prepared and presented informative chart displays showcasing the achievements of eminent women scientists from India and around the world. They explained their exhibits to visiting school students, encouraging interaction and inspiring them to explore careers in science and research.

The programme successfully created awareness about the role of women in STEM, promoted scientific temper, and motivated young students, especially girls, to pursue scientific and innovative careers.
