First Aid Cell

Lt. Dr. N. ARUN NAGENDRAN, Co-ordinator

The college runs a First Aid Cell to facilitate immediate medical assistance to students and staff. A first aid box with all necessary medicines and dressing materials is maintained. The cell offers a separate paper on First Aid to Youth Red Cross Society volunteers of the college under Part V course. Besides theory, practical training is given to students by St.John’s Ambulance.

61 volunteers have donated for emergency operations to various hospitals.

A special emergency blood donation camp was conducted on 22.08.12 and 23.08.12 upon request by Blood Bank, Government Rajaji Hospital, Madurai on account of Dengu Outbreak at Sivakasi. 35 volunteers donated blood.

Others: The programme Officer has made his 56th donation on 30.07.12
