Career Guidance Cell

The Career Guidance Cell was started in 2003. The cell prepare the students for campus interviews and job placement and train the students for competitive and civil service exams. It arranges training programme on soft skill development and provide career counseling. The cell organises workshops and seminars on personality development, Interpersonal relationship, communication skills and presentation skills to enable all round development of individuals. It provides information on professional development courses, higher studies available in India and Abroad. The cell also conducts training programmes on behavioral skills and stress management ultimately helping the students to discover their strengths, sharpening their interests and planning their future.

Inauguration of In-service Training Programme for entry to State and Central Govt. exams on 15^th Feb.2013 at 2:00p.m. in Diamond Jubilee Hall.

This programme will be conducted from 15.Feb.13 to 15.Mar.2013 between 2:00p.m. and 6:00p.m.

Activities

	Organized a three day pre-placement training programme for final year under graduate science students from 31st January 2011 to 1st February 2011 conducted by the trainers of Focus Academy Coimbatore. 137 students from various courses have participated. The students were trained in TCS specific aptitude papers.
	Organized a two days pre-placement training programme for final year under graduate science students on 07th Feb 2011 and 8th Feb 2011. 75 students from various courses have participated. The students were trained in IGATE specific aptitude papers. Prof.A. Maheswari of Business Administration Department & Prof. S.John Bosco of English department served as resource persons
	Arranged to send seven students for selection contest for Model Youth Parliament zonal competition organized by Dept. of. Youth Welfare, Madurai Kamaraj University, conducted by Ministry of Parliamentary Affairs, Govt. of. India on 2.2.2011
